The first Quebec oenologist to have earned her degree at Bordeaux University, Christine Leroux pursued her studies at La Fleur Pétrus, Margaux, and in the laboratories of Gironde, culminating her apprenticeship at Cassegrain Winery, J. Lohr, and Inniskillin. In 1996 she became the winemaker at Inniskillin Okanagan. On May 25th and 26th 2010, Laloux Welcomes
Rézin:
Come
and meet Jean-Philippe Lefebvre!
May 25th and 26th 2010, Chef Seth Gabrielse
of Laloux welcomes Jean-Philippe Lefebvre,
the man behind Rézin. Many oenophiles
still recall the days of wine and roses when
Jean-Philippe reigned over the cellar of the
now defunct Club des Pins restaurant on Laurier
in Montreal, or at Bistro à Champlain
in Sainte-Marguerite-du-lac-Masson.
15 years ago, determined to personally track
down the crus he dreamed about having in Quebec,
Jean-Philippe Lefebvre founded the wine agency
Rézin that favours wines from producers
who cultivate their vineyards and vinify their
products in a way that respects the soil and
the natural properties of each particular
wine. A selection from the best crus that
Rézin has to offer will be served by
Jean-Philippe himself on May 25th and 26th:
a perfect marriage with the intuitive cuisine
of Seth Gabrielse, the new Chef at Laloux. www.rezin.com
The bill : $105 for food and wine, without taxes and gratuity.
Reservations by phone only : (514) 287-9127
